Seven Spots that Define LA Dining - Erin’s Kitchen

After several years of blogging from her home in Souther California, Erin from Erin’s Kitchen is leaving Los Angeles. In the past weeks, she’s been inviting various Los Angelenos to share their favorite spots in LA. I thought it was only fair for her to reveal her top choices.

Erin’s picks encompass what she will miss most about LA dining - seasonal, straight from the farm ingredients; ethnic enclaves full of not just “insert country here” food, but instead, “insert specific region or town or neighborhood” food.

She enjoys restaurants with a laid back atmosphere which offer fancy-pants delicacies; and, of course, a little beach and a lotta sun - even in January. LA’s a big place - Erin readily admits the bad traffic stereotype is true. To make it on her “best of” list, it’s gotta be worth a drive across town.

Make a Japanese Girl Feel at Home

Pirikara, from Mikey Hates Everything, was kind enough to share her top seven restaurant choices for the inaugural Los Angeles BlogSoop Seven.

Pirikara is a chashu bao - more commonly known as a pork bun. She’s not just a piece of meat but a living, breathing, highly-sensitive pork bun. Mikey is her kid brother - he hates everything. Pirikara is on a mission to find things around LA that Mikey might like. It’s not easy, but she tries.

In this BlogSoop 7, Piri shares seven restaurants around Los Angeles which make a Japanese girl feel at home. The theme represents her Japanese/American heritage.
