When you crave something and you can't have it, you want it even more (but you can't). This is what happened when we forgot Bay Cities doesn't open on Mondays T__T and have to turn around our car around. We ended up at Abbot's Pizza for quick fix, not bad. I got the Gypsy Pie which has Ricotta cheese, very lovely texture on a pizza (somehow I always associate Ricotta with something desserty). The crust was a bit stale though, seems like the slice been sitting for long. Since they constantly making new pizza in open kitchen I figure maybe no one order this one but me ^^;; Their salad pizza is very popular that day.

home of the bagel crust pizza, abbot's pizza in venice
Even before MS and I went down to Venice Beach this past weekend, I had been craving pizza. Just the night before, I mentioned to him that I had the sudden urge for some good pizza. (And that was AFTER I had a couple of cream puffs from Beard Papa's - post on that excursion will be up in a day or two). I remembered hearing friends talk about their favorite pizza slices from an Abbot's Pizza on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, and thought what a great weekend to try it out!

Getting rid of old entries time again. Everyone tells me how awesome this pizza place at Abbot Kinney is (Best in LA by Zagat). Never a fan of pizza, I find them pretty good~ ^_^. $6 for 2 slices. The pic on the right is not mine. The crusts is thin and very nice. Unfortunately I made a wasted choice: got 2 similar spinach/mushroom ones that looked alike and subtle taste. The left one is Wild Mushroom Pizza, which Adam highly recommended. It has 4 different types of mushroom with olive pesto suace. I ended up liking the right one more (forgot what it is). I should have tried their famous Popeye chicken. Inside they only have stool seats :(.
