The waiter proudly recommended the pumpkin ravioli, claiming that it has been on their menu for 15 years. But seems like there's only pure plain pumpkin (no cheese or herbs) and the texture of pumpkin didn't compliment that well with the ravioli...not creamy enough. The dessert is Chocolate Bread Pudding, my god it's so delicious! I think...this is the BEST bread pudding I've ever had!!! *O* I lunched here with Adam, despite we're the two regulars at office but we rarely go to lunch together (he always brings his own cooked food since he's a self-proclaimed gourmet chef, and since his baby's born he said he's a changed man who wanted to save time and $). Adam talked about his working for Michel Gondry (in Bjork's 'Bachelorette' video) and meeting Saul Bass. Saul Bass asked him "What makes good design?" Adam told him some lame textbook answer, then Saul Bass said, "for me, good design is about experiences, and how one able to funnel down his experiences into the design and thinking." Great advice from the legend!!!

Moroccan Beef Tagine $12.95 With fennel, apples, almonds, raisins & tomatoes served over couscous. Tagine is a Moroccan style stew cooked in a chimney shape pot. It tasted like any other stew to me. ^^; The meat is soft and moise and they have very dense aromatic flavor yet not 'strong' tasting enough for my taste ^^;;;; Red Yam Flan $7 I never had this before, Very YUMMY! ^o^/ I picked the dessert from the display tray and I didn't know they're so pricey...

Research is the key. I found this Cal-French restaurant, even though it's listed as $$$, they have casual business lunch menu. The place looks sophisticated, the waiters dressed in black silk and all...but they were playing lame-ass pop songs ^^;; They gave us bread (good) and olives (too soaked and mushy). The egg-shaped Shrek ears olive oil jar is interesting, there's another layer inside holding the herbs. But it's all in one-piece.
