Comfort cafe is comfy indeed. A cute cafe in Silver lake recently started to offer brunch. Perhaps that's why it's still rather unknown and not flooded with the weekend brunch crowd like other silver lake places. Though that doesn't mean their food isn't good. The Egg benedict and french toast we got are both fantastic and reasonbly priced. They've got lunch menu and there's a deli section too. Supposely they have great pasteries (the chef was on the first season of Top Chef?) but the baked goods section were empty when I was there. All the tables have chalk board surfaces that's accompanied with a little cup of chalks. There goes my drawing of Jon and me :P FULL REVIEW

Comfort Cafe, adjacent to Bodybuilder's Gym on Hyperion, is likely the closest restaurant to my house. But I didn't get a chance to try it until they started opening for Sunday brunch this weekend. It's a small place with a modern design where you order at the counter, with lots of magazines to read while they cook the food. FULL REVIEW
