Though we've been having some wind lately and even a touch of rain every once in a great while, for the most part, winter is already gone and has been for a little bit. This is part of the joy of living in Southern California. We can go out in shorts for about 90% of the year and it doesn't even have to be anything extreme. L.A. in particular is something special. Besides the great weather, we have everyone who wants to be someone, tons of tourists, more beautiful people per capita than anywhere in America (thanks to the industries that call this...

My wonderful yoga teacher Erin held yoga classes on the beach this summer... I finally made it for the last class, and it was beautiful doing yoga next to the Casa del Mar as the mist burned off over the ocean. After all that yoga I needed a hearty breakfast at Cora's. There's lots of people waiting for patio tables on weekends, but it's not hard to score a stool at the counter. Not that I needed more burrata after Mozza the night before, but the burrata caprese omelette looked awfully good. Italian Sausage with Polenta The tomato sauce is just so delicious~ Another delicious breakfast at Cora Coffe Shoppe, proven it one of my top favorite brunch place in LA (old entries: 1, 2, 3).

These days the internet is always down at the office (wonder if the house renovation up the hill sabotages our connection...). I had my brunch at Cora Coffee Shoppe while waiting for it to be fixd. I crave Huevos Rancheros all the time (need to learn how to make myself), this one is lighter tasting than I liked but still delicious!

Back to the wonderful Cora Coffee Shop (old entry). Proscuitto and Egg Sandwich, sounds normal but very fresh very good. Joan has the Buratta Caprese Omelette again. The teapot for tea is errr...ethnic looking. ;D

It was a historic diner dated from 20s, now turned Italian organic, gourmet cafe. From the name you'd think it's coffee-to-go, and the tiny grey little cubic building is easily missed on the road. My goodness the Caprese Omlette is so unbelievably delicous, light and fresh~ Omlette can be this good! The Kobe-style Burger is sooooo good! It's like a gourmet version of Pie n' Burger. The owner came out and told us about it being their popular item and reviewed on paper. Probably because he saw me taking picture of the place ^^;; I came here with Yan, who told me about the $5 supposedly fresh lemonade she had last time was not fresh at all...hmm...so beware ($5 is one expensive lemonade).
