Having spent the morning in Vernon (furniture shopping at the IdentityCraft sample sale), we were hungry -- and dim sum beckoned. After being less than thrilled with our most recent Ocean Star visit, it was time to return to good old, reliable Empress Pavilion. They stipulated: It's the typical dim sum experience. Don't be shy -- wave down carts, quiz the servers on what's in the steamers, and try at least one new thing each time. Shortribs (left) and bean curd ... FULL REVIEW

i didn't want to have this photo as the header, but you know how i feel about asian restaurants with marginal health code ratings. suffice it to say, i'm more than okay with it, and apparently so are the thousands of people who throng to empress pavilion FULL REVIEW

Having to rewrite my resume after 5 years at my current company was a difficult task. I haven't really taken a good look at myself in a long time, and the longer I think about it, the more I realize that I can't do much, and I don't really do much.
