As a testament at how backlogged I have become - I am blogging about food I ate ALMOST HALF A YEAR AGO. Talk about paying my dues. I am determined to slog through this, luckily, I remember a lot after seeing the pictures I took, and sometimes, when the food is good FULL REVIEW

Houston's. Yes Houston's is part of chain. Yes, it's overpriced. Yes, the food is good. But it's just not worth the time and money to dine at Houston's. I ordered the pork ribs, for $27. These were the small ends of the spare ribs. Ask the server what kind of ribs, she will say baby back STYLE and pork ribs. The ribs are not FULL REVIEW

Dining in Houston's feels like spending time in an exclusive cigar lounge in upper-class urban America, where I imagine monocled rich white men with starched collars would congregate and speak in low tones, curvy pipes in hand. Almost stuffy, but not inaccessible, it's one of a few restaurants in Irvine where one can break away from the "Olive Garden crowd". Modern touches like spot lighting accent dark burnished woods and soft leather booths to create a luxuriously seductive dining room. FULL REVIEW

I always heard that their steak is supposedly really good, though I'm skeptical and bias against chains. ^^;; So under suspicious, I tried the Millet Mignon. It's....umm...not good nor bad, just plain -__-;;, Also it cost $31 (!!!), compare to the super good ones at Cafe Beajoulais which was only $16.50, this is just way too over-price. :( My friend had the rib which I forgot to take pix of (only bones). It's pretty good. The appetizer is this baked cheese spinach dip thing (eat with corn chips) which is quite yummy. FULL REVIEW

Ghetto! @o@ I always heard the guys from office go to this place but I never went along. Last Friday I went there for a quick lunch, and wow no wonder no woman ever go there~~ There are BARS in the window! ^^;;; It's next to a sex shop which has quite a spectacular graffiti wall. Well they're known for BBQ sandwich. The BBQ burger is indeed very delicious, the meat is so soft and juicy. Even though I know the desert here can't be good, but we got the coconut pie just for the heck of it. My gosh it's just all cream with some cocnut slice in there ^^;;; FULL REVIEW
