Friday, I found myself able to walk across the street to the Farmer's Market for lunch. I had never really been too enthralled with Singapore's Banana Leaf, thinking that it was always a shade below the quality of good Indian and Chinese restaurants that serve similar faire. Based on recommendations on Chowhound, I decided to check out the mee goreng with chicken, a dish that is described as "crispy noodles", though in reality they're just pan fried.

Why I Should (Or Shouldn't) Be Asked For "Things To See And Do In L.A."
I had to go to the Grove last week. Not because I wanted to, but because I had to purchase a book that I had on hold at Barnes and Noble, else I would have stayed at home. I actually detest this shopping center--the Disneyland of shopping malls I call it--because quite frankly, it sucks. It sucks for me as an efficient shopper because it has stores that are visually appealing but that stock horrible assortments of merchandise. It also sucks because it's crowded and the parking's atrocious. I would never voluntarily choose to go here. Not now. Not ever.
