I went to Elf Cafe a month or two ago, but just now got around to writing about it. Here's some of my review from the Los Feliz Ledger. Out front on Sunset Blvd., a punked-out young couple enjoy a leisurely dinner while their infant slumbers away in a designer stroller. Heard a lot of good things about this vegetarian place in Echo Park. It's few shops down of American apparel and right next door to an abandoned theatre on Sunset Blvd in Echo Park. The space is small with 6-7 tables only, populated mostly by the usual silver lake/echo park hipster & artist type. The interior decor is cozy and charming, I like the ambiance a lot.

All-vegetables conjurs up images of the spots in my college town of Northampton, MA, earnest but tasteless, or the scary raw/vegan joint in New York that cost an arm and a leg, though I had to bus my own plate because "we're all equal."
