When we went to this neighborhood restaurant at Silver Lake, the entire street corner was blocked off with filming crew and actors and equipments. A large crane was moving up and down the entire time outside, it got so close sometimes that I kept expecting it to crash thru the windows.

Shopping too much for our room at Old Town recently. This little Italian place at the corner on Union St. is a safe haven from the lame crowd who traffic jam all the 'obvious' restaurants on Colorado. But it get filled up very quickly on a busy night too. The bread is really good~~ Minestrone is so-so.

Ahh, comfort food. As the CitySearch review says, The Kitchen brings a dose of "Good old-fashioned home cooking, with a sophisticated streak." The prices are reasonable, and it's always great to be able to bring your own beverages. We brought a bottle of Charles Shaw Savignon Blanc (the ubiquitous "Two Buck Chuck"--see below).
