Last weekend I was at the Bay Street Mall in Emeryville so I decided to stroll over to Ikea next door. I was looking for some cheap chili bowls (didn?t find any). While I was there, I noticed a long line at the second-floor restaurant. Now, I?m not one to shy away from a line. In fact, it always piques my interest. What is worth all the wait? I?ve never eaten at the restaurant (it?s actually more like a cafeteria), but I once went to a party where the host served Swedish meatballs from Ikea, and they were quite delish. Breakfast at Ikea - Costa Mesa

Having recently read Eat, Drink & Be Merry's excellent post "An Evening of Elegance, Affluence and Taste", where he catered a lavish dinner for a wealthy family, I felt this was as good a time as any to write about my 99-cent Ikea breakfast. Yes, the plate of scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, and bacon shown above set me back $0.99 ($1.07 with tax) at Ikea; served on real Ikea china with real Ikea silverware! FULL REVIEW
