FMFM: The lovely Food Marathon (FM) , who does exactly what it sounds like -- eats through a whole day of deliciousness, one restaurant after another after another, has alit upon the Third and Fairfax Farmers' Market (also FM). I admire his (her?) stamina, not to mention the cool old-school photo and postcard from the Market's past.

For the one year anniversary of this blog I finally got around to an often-discussed and easily accessible food marathon; The Farmers Market Food Marathon (FMFM, Double FM or FMSquared). Located in the hell that is the Grove, I rarely can be found at the Farmers Market on a Sunday. I grew up there though. My grandparents would take me there for lunch. My mom worked in a clothing boutique there before I was born. It's full of memories from my childhood and remains a nostalgic place. What better way to combine the warmth of days gone by with the satisfaction of a four-stop marathon including some of the world's finest cuisine. Like any good...

Lago, an Italian restaurant located on the Promenade, has a panini stand diagonally in front of their restaurant during the Santa Monica Farmer's Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. They sell mostly panini, but also lasagne, polenta pancakes, and minestrone soup. All but one of the panini had meat, I believe. One may have been vegan, if the pesto spread did not contain cheese. They also sell $2 Italian bottled soft drinks, and less expensive cans of Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite.
