Siberia Bar in its new space is larger, though the odor and atmosphere remains. While the drinks may not be the cheapest anymore (though the bottled beer is your best choice if low on funds) a friendly atmosphere and great jukebox (country, magnetic fields, motown, more). The art on the wall is mixed, but made for the place. There is a bike in the middle of it now as well. If you are not a jukebox person, go to the Bellevue around the corner for cheap drinks and a dirty dive. Note that this was reviewed in the night, and word has it this bar is more after hours, so the character may change the later one goes. FULL REVIEW

A Really Fun Friday

I was going to meet Larry McShane and his brother at Siberia but I hit midtown a bit early to drop of a tape of my German television spot, all of two minutes long, at Langan’s for Steve Donleavy. He has a cameo (sorry Steve, I couldn’t resist) appearance and I thought he would get a laugh out of it. Steve’s photographer makes a brief appearance as well. Well Steve wasn’t there, which is a good thing or I probably would still be there myself. He has that affect on people.
