Today i had lunch with my sister at Pongal, a vegetarian indian restaurant. it’s been a sluggish week at work and in life, so it was a good time to step out for lunch. Their “business lunch” special is a good bargain ($9), and the food was delicious! We started with samosas, which were delectable — the outer wrapping was not greasy and had a bread-like consistency and flavor (though thin) and the inside was delightfully flavored. It came with a cilantro dipping sauce, which I liked even though I normally hate cilantro. I got the mumbai lunch which came with a chickpea masala (yum! much more intricate flavor than many a tikka masala i’ve had), raita, a small salad, and some sort of delicious bread! Altogether very worthwhile — the next time someone comes to visit me at work for lunch, I will definitely be going back! FULL REVIEW
