no, not the country (unfortunately). instead, a restaurant in greenwich village (now a 20 minute walk!!). the food was pretty good (i had the vaca frita, and they give a plate of plantains and a side of black beans for the table), but a little pricey for pretty straightforward cuban food. with sangria ($6/person) my total ended up being $30, including tax & tip. the place itself is pretty cute, louder upstairs but a little quieter downstairs. good music, however, and seems like a fun atmosphere. not sure i would go again - there must be better cuban places in the city. (either cheaper or better food) FULL REVIEW
