even after downing half a bowl of mediocre soup, i suddenly had a craving for bubble tea when aaron mentioned his 20% frequent buyer discount. the stomach is an amazingly flexible organ. so we stopped by here on our way to his favorite coffee shop (when housingworks is closed, of course). i opted for my usual plan black milk pearl tea. and it was good. yum yum yum. a little over $2 with his 30% discount, but still under $3 without. probably less crowded than ten ren (although it wasn’t prime hour i bet), and cheaper too. i’ll try this first from now on. they also have a seated section, but i’m not sure what they serve there besides bubble tea. We wanted to stay away from Canal Street to celebrate Chinese New Year and Jase suggested that we do hot pot instead of dim sum. Who am I to say no to soup even at 11am? FULL REVIEW

Yesterday I went to Quickly Shabu Shabu with Amy and Diana. ...Or rather, I forced them to join me since I felt like trying shabu shabu, aka "cooking your own stuff in a hot pot because it's fun, heehee!" and it wasn't something I'd do on my own because then it'd be "cooking your own stuff in a hot pot because you're alone, which is kind of sad."
