I had a bad experience waiting for a table. Even though we had a reservation, we were never seated. Instead, we were forced to stand in tiny entrance and wait. Then my friend spilled his entire glass of red wine on my white sweater. The appetizers were good, although we ultimately left out of frustration. I got the stain out with OxyClean.

I recognize the funky odor that comes from the belly of the Bowery Ballroom as "concert stench", but for some reason it never occured to me that "concert stench" was borne from many open, wafting cups of beer. My short attention span plowed through while the first opener was performing; my thoughts were concentrated not on the musical prowess of what was going on in front of me but that the smell of fermented barley water reminded me of a bakery, which in turn reminded me of bread, which in turn reminded me that I wanted to eat bread. The thought of going out to eat fondue sounded really exciting to me, as it would to anyone. And the thought of sharing it over wine with friends Fashionista and HowardRoark made it even more exciting. The meer mention of a fondue dinner seems to warm stomachs- I think of cold nights in Switzerland warming up for raclette, a Swiss type of fondue. FULL REVIEW
