According to my delightful companion, The Popover Cafe is an UWS brunch staple. I found the fare to be average at best - if overpriced. Notable, of course, are the popovers, which pair well with the apple cinnamon butter. I had a chicken sandwich with avocado and bacon. It was heavy on the mayo. I also had some chicken sausage, which must have incorporated maple syrup. It was good. After the meal, I felt the sudden compulsion to head to the gym, in spite of the rain.
