Sunburnt Cow and Roasted Pig

Today Zum Schneider celebrated their sixth anniversary at their current location on the corner of Avenue C and 7th Street today. They always throw a great party and I hope they will be able to celebrate their seventh anniversary next year. They are currently in a dispute with their landlord so the jury is out. FULL REVIEW

An East Village Stroll

This was my first serious visit to the East Village. A lot of the bars in this neighborhood don’t usually open until later in the day except for on the weekends. And man, are there ever a lot of bars. I passed more bars than I stopped into and by the time I left in the late afternoon even more were beginning to open. I will certainly be back again. Otto’s Shrunken Head Tiki Bar is high on my list of places to visit in the future (it was closed when I passed by early in the day). FULL REVIEW
