you know, i don’t understand what people like so much about friendhouse. it’s not supercheap (it’s kind of e. village-reasonable), the food isn’t particularly good (it’s about as good as asia grill on the e. side or any generic pan-asian restaurant), and the chair/table combination has the irritating feature of the chair fitting exactly under the table. i had the spicy trio roll, which was alright. kind of standard spicy rolls that you might get at the supermarket. friendhouse has a smaller thai menu than friendhouse2. i would recommend friendhouse2 over its original sibling, since i have a better memory of the duck-based thai dish i had there last spring.
