Il MulinoBy Mona's Apple Dec 08, 2007Il mulino is a perfect example of the beauty, wonder and romance that is the Italian language. Out of curiosity, I looked up what il mulino meant in English and I'm still chuckling inside that it means "the flour mill." I know I've heard stranger names for restaurants in New York like Mary's Fish Camp, Friend of a Farmer and the oxymoronic East Village Yacht Club, but would as many people vie for a spot at an Il Mulino table if it was called The Flour Mill?
