Ahh...Norma's Norma's, the famous breakfast place. I think it's been hyped up so much that it couldn't have met my expectations. It seemed like the perfect place to go during the holiday season. It was almost a touristy thing to do but since I went to see the tree at Rockefeller Center yesterday, I guess I'm in the mood this year. Sara had been to Norma's already so she warned us of big portions. We decided to share two dishes and a smoothie between three people but The Full Monty Cristo and The Seafood Schooner Salad didn't end up being that large. We did see other plates around the restaurant and the waffles, pancakes, and omelets did... FULL REVIEW

It is clear that Norma's has its fans. I am not immediately one of them. I don't think it is totally 100% terrible either, I obviously made a bum choice, but there are a few things I think you need to be aware of if you are thinking of going there for one of their famous all day breakfasts. Norma's is hands down my favorite place in the city for breakfast, period.But I'm guessing you'll probably want a little bit more information than this. Norma's can be found inside le Parker Meridien hotel, where it's not unusual to see huge crowds overflowing into the lobby sofas. No, they're not dying to get into the hotel, they're dying to get into Norma's. Monday through Thursday mornings you can walk in and be seated. FULL REVIEW

Lauren's sporadic visits to New York are great excuses to eat places where I would not otherwise eat. One such place is Norma's in the Parker Meridian Hotel. It is an outrageously expensive breakfast ($7 for a glass of orange juice!) but apparently the best in New York. Instead of opting for a fancy dinner, I suggested we do Norma's for a fancy Friday brunch. Lauren ascented. FULL REVIEW
