not to be confused with “del posto,” i decided to give this cute looking pizza place down the street from me a try. it turns out to be a friendly neighborhood-feeling place with thin crust pizza that is quite good (but not exceptional). we also split the antipasto plate, which was tasty, if not original. prices are reasonable but not cheap ($14 for a large, $9 for a small pizza). i recommend as a friendly joint here in this area (what area is this? gramercy? not quite…stuyvesant town/cooper village?) that i would go to again for a casual meal. The best thin crust pizza in Manhattan

Natasha introduced me to Posto, an unassuming and cozy neighbourhood pizza place where they make thinnest and crispest pizza. You get to choose from a never-ending list of toppings including caramelized onions, bella di cerignola olives, fresh spinach and shiitake mushrooms. I got a slice with jalapenos and sweet red onions which was just perfect after a few margaritas at Underbar. I wasn't terribly hungry otherwise I would have ordered the Shroomtown pie- portobello, shitake, and button mushrooms with white truffle oil. Yum - can't wait to go back for that one! FULL REVIEW

Posto-thin crust pizza revisited

Trevor, AKA "Swimster"(newly dubbed by our friends HungryMan and Nosher of NYC Nosh), took me to Posto, right around the corner from his apartment for pizza. If you think you've had thin crust pizza, think again. Little did I know in this little pizza joint, and that's what really best describes it, I'd find the thinnest, best-tasting pizza I've had in the city. I guess that's not saying much seeing that I've had few thin crust pizzas here at all (usually it's the monster slices from the small no-name walk-in walk-out pizza stops) but Posto's version hit the spot. And that's all anyone's really calling for at 9pm when neither of us could put our finger on what the heck we wanted to eat. FULL REVIEW
