The other week, my parents and sister met Robyn and Tristan for the first time over dinner at Nha Trang in Chinatown. Robyn had just returned back from a weekend in Charlottesville with Tristan, and they were HUNGRY! We let my mom and dad take care of the ordering, all knowing that we were in good hands :) Both my parents grew up in Vietnam (even though we're officially ZERO% Vietnamese) and know the cuisine well. It's funny, nature versus nurture. Our family is Chinese, but I grew up mainly on Vietnamese food, thanks to my Grandma's weekend dinners. Drinks, which can also double as dessert, are an essential part of any Vietnamese meal.... FULL REVIEW
The only sure cure for a hangover? Pho shizzle.

Once upon a time, a great English teacher and weight training partner told me that Pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, was the only sure cure for a hangover. I think I was 16 or 17 at the time, so the words “hangover cure” didn’t quite hold the same meaning as they would a few short years later. I can assure you now that there actually isn’t a sure cure for a hangover that doesn’t include a fourth-dimensional ingredient (and, believe me, I’ve tested extensively), but Pho’s as good a meal as any at re-hydrating a hung over body and helping it to sweat out the party demons. Suddenly craved Pho so we try a random Vietnamese restaurant. We had 'err...' moment when we went inside and saw a Taiwanese boba drink counter. Other than that the place seems good and authentic. ^^;; The Bamboo Shrimp Roll comes with this special egg sauce that's very yummy. The beef Pho is wonderful: big portion, yummy soup, all kinds of beef parts. Crab Vermicelli noodle. I never try this before so it taste so unique and fresh to me. The soup has lots of tomatos in it, the crab is scramble with eggs. There's even pig blood in it. Their menu seems to be quite unique, looks of dishes you don't see in other Vietnamese places. I'll definitely go back whenever I crave Pho :) It's cheap too, with 2 drinks in the end it's about $22 total with tax and tips. FULL REVIEW
