Robyn had just returned back from a weekend in Charlottesville with Tristan, and they were HUNGRY! We let my mom and dad take care of the ordering, all knowing that we were in good hands :) Both my parents grew up in Vietnam (even though we're officially ZERO% Vietnamese) and know the cuisine well. It's funny, nature versus nurture. Our family is Chinese, but I grew up mainly on Vietnamese food, thanks to my Grandma's weekend dinners. Drinks, which can also double as dessert, are an essential part of any Vietnamese meal.... FULL REVIEWThe only sure cure for a hangover? Pho shizzle.By Twenty Bucks A Day Oct 11, 2005Once upon a time, a great English teacher and weight training partner told me that Pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, was the only sure cure for a hangover. I think I was 16 or 17 at the time, so the words “hangover cure” didn’t quite hold the same meaning as they would a few short years later. I can assure you now that there actually isn’t a sure cure for a hangover that doesn’t include a fourth-dimensional ingredient (and, believe me, I’ve tested extensively), but Pho’s as good a meal as any at re-hydrating a hung over body and helping it to sweat out the party demons.
