Seems that God (or whomever it is that controls the weather) (Al Roker?) must be a fan of this website. As my parents are propelled North to escape the mighty winds of a series of successive hurricanes, I get to eat out a lot and you get to read about it. Score! FULL REVIEW

Laurent Tourondel got a raw deal the last time he opened a restaurant in New York. Right out of the gate, the much-lauded Cello earned three stars from the Times, but his backers got cold feet after 9/11. They pulled the plug one night when he was out of town, and he returned to find he no longer had a restaurant. FULL REVIEW

If you want to go off your diet, BLT Steak is the best place to do so! The generous portions will tempt the most moderate of eaters. For former Atkins devotees, there are huge parmesan-crusted popovers and 7 different potato preparations. For those who've been avoiding sweets, there are chocolate tarts, lemon meringue pies and carrot cakes. Last night, for the lapsed vegetarians, there was a 21-oz. BLT Steak is a place to relax, tuck a napkin into your collar, raise a glass (the wine list is 700 bottles long), and quite simply, feast. Owned by Jimmy Haber (Pazo, AZ), its name stands not for Bacon Lettuce and Tomato, but for Bistro Laurent Tourondel, the gifted chef known for his luxurious seafood dishes at Cello. At BLT Steak, the menu is American Steakhouse meets young French guy (that would be Laurent) with a passion for terrific ingredients and a way of bringing beef to the realm of dreams. FULL REVIEW
