Sfoglia has gotten its share of good press lately. Andrea Strong said, “I would consider a move Uptown for this restaurant.” In New York, Adam Platt was smitten, awarding three stars on his five-star scale FULL REVIEW

My Mom has been staying in New York this summer far up town. She said that she had found a great restaurant uptown that we must make the trip for. Sfoglia Restaurant. Soon after wards, they were written up and getting a reservation has not been so easy but she's been back three times and last night was her third. FULL REVIEW

There was something about the look of Sfoglia — maybe the Venetian-style glass chandelier above our heads; maybe the restaurant’s low- key, thrown-together kind of prettiness — that put my companions and me instantly in mind if Al di La in Park Slope, which is one of our favorite Italian restaurants. The menu, too, had similarities in its restrained length (about eight antipasti, about 10 pasta and meat dishes) and its prices. At Sfoglia, you can get an entree-sized dish of pasta that’s big enough to make a whole meal for $16. FULL REVIEW
My Dinner at Sfoglia

After dining at Sfoglia, I realized that it is possible to be picked up while eating dinner at a restaurant. I had no idea this sort of thing happened—get picked up at a bar, sure, but at your table? Rare, right? But yes, it happened the other night while I was having dinner at Sfoglia. It was a lot of fun actually. But let me back up a bit. FULL REVIEW
