Went here last night pre-opera. They have an excellent Peekytoe Crab Salad (if you like avocado and grapefruit). I was a fan of the mussels and shared a crispy branzini (over a top of greens and mushrooms). The fish was so fresh that I bet they'd been out on the boat a day before! Not far from the opera-house, but far enough to walk off your dinner :)

On Friday the Thirteenth of July 2007 Linda, Roan and I dined at Café Luxembourg before the Kirov Das Rheingold at The Metropolitan Opera House. It has been a classic Lincoln Center pre-theater restaurant since 1983. FULL REVIEW

Cafe Luxembourg has been a gem of a restaurant on the Upper Westside for a good twenty years. They obviously are doing something right. At dinner I had a Wild Mushroom Risotto with Asparagus gratin, Tiger Shrimp with Pasta in a Parmesan Cream sauce, and Blood Orange Sorbet. FULL REVIEW
