BarbutoBy New York Journal Oct 02, 2006Barbuto is one of my old favorites (earlier report here). Although it is on the edge of the Meatpacking District, Barbuto is far more civilized than most of the area’s other restaurants, so I was happy to go back. On your chrome topped tables you’ll find navy blue and white checked cloth napkins, wooden bowls of olives and almonds, and baskets of crusty country bread, while the bar, lit with low-slung fluorescent tube lighting, is filled with candles and rural accents of a hillside farmhouse in Italy.
