At Duvet, there are plenty of signals that food is not the real attraction. This is one of those restaurants where most of the “tables” are beds. Their OpenTable profile warns in bold-face type that there is a two-hour time limit on all beds, as well as a two-appetizer or one-entree minimum per person. In other words, what they don’t want is for the Chelsea/Flatiron party set to occupy the beds and drink the night away. FULL REVIEW

Duvet

If Miami has Bed, then New York has Duvet. The 22-bed loftspace has been featured in Sex in the City which explains the crowd especially on Saturday night. People flock this place because it’s new, it’s sexy and it’s trendy. It’s perfect for a group of friends or as in our case, a bachelorette party. The beds are extra firm and glass trays are provided to make eating on a bed easier. There are tables for couples who plan on eating less than the minimum of two appetizers or one entrée or for those who want to stay for more than two hours. The bathroom downstairs is unisex with the mirrored doors providing entertainment for those in line. (I found the exposed wine cellar more intriguing.) Slippers are provided for that extra homey feeling. Sorry, robes aren’t. FULL REVIEW
