I've figured out why it took nearly three years to try Franny's for the second time. As my (sometimes...seriously, where are you?) co-blogger the CLC would say, "I'm just not into them." My hood is becoming a foodie hot spot so fast I'm definitely not cool enough to live around here anymore. A date with my best friend from high school gave me an excuse to venture to the year old simmering Franny's on a Saturday evening for a light dinner. Franny's scours the area for sustainable, local and organic ingredients. On the back of the daily printed menu, diners can discover where Franny's purchases their asparagus (Bill Maxwell's Farm in Changewater, NJ), wild ruby red shrimp (from the waters of Cape Cod, MA) or beef tongue (Hardwick Farms in Hardwick, ME).
