Lon had a positive experience at 15 East when he went for lunch with Steve & Justin. Of course when he told me about it, I insisted on going. We decided to try dinner this past weekend and although it was a generally enjoyable meal, we both felt that it was way over-priced. The amuse bouche was described to us as a tomato tofu but it was much more of a block of tomato gelee. I really did not FULL REVIEW

Walking past the loud, rambunctious Park Bar and a construction site, I almost missed the elegant, Zen-like oasis of 15 East. "I'm sorry, there's no room at the sushi bar tonight," said the hostess, ruefully, when I entered the room. Although I was crestfallen, I accepted the consolation of a table. A funny thing happens when your friends have babies. They disappear. You don’t see them for a while. As much as you want to, and as much as you talk about how you’ll help, how you’ll visit, during those first few weeks and even months, this rare form of madness falls over your friend the new mother as her life ceases to be her own and becomes merely a proxy for nutrition, hydration, burping, bathing, and diaper changing for her young infant. Toqueville is a successful under the radar restaurant. The first location was at 15 East 15th and then they moved to new digs a little farther down the street. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is quite good too.... FULL REVIEW
