Girls night out on the Presidio. I met a former co-worker for some socializing at the Presidio Social Club. Didn't take my camera as it was not a blogging venue, but we both enjoyed our food so much I wanted to share. After we started by sharing the grilled artichoke half with a splash of lemon (yum), my friend had the Award Winning Berkshire Pork Slow Roasted, served with Oyster Hash. The oyster hash was rice stir fried with oysters. The pork was tender and flavorful. I had the Idaho Trout with Almond Brown Butter, while we shared a side of grilled asparagus and green beans. Maybe. But sometimes it's more important to have fun. When it is, Presidio Social Club is the place to go. It offers revamped American classics -- anyone else tired of that trend yet? -- most of which don't merit more than a shrug, but the atmosphere makes it a winner anyway.
