~ANDALU~ has been holding down the corner of 16th and Guerrero for some time, but they have never offered brunch, until recently. It’s funny, because the space is quite well suited for brunch—there’s nice light and hello, full bar. I went by with a friend to check it out, and while it won’t knock my favorite brunch trio from their rank (Foreign Cinema, Slow Club, Universal Café), I thought the brunch fare was solid (if a bit heavy), prices were good, especially compared to what some dives have the nerve to charge around town, and the portions were downright ginormous, which will please big eaters. There are two big things I miss about San Francisco: 1) my friends and 2) the innovative and diverse ethnic cuisines. Thus, it is only fitting that now, as I am feeling just a tad homesick, that I share with you about these two loves of my life. Dinner at Andalu

We had a couple of hours to kill before our movie--the SF Indie Film Festival is going on right now--and we were hungry, so we decided to get some dinner at Andalu, which was about a block from the Roxie. It was decent but not stellar, and it took FOREVER to get our last 2 dishes. FULL REVIEW
