An inadvertent burrito

I was headed from school to work this afternoon, and I really wanted a sandwich. After a very sub-par slab last night from Casa Mexicana last night (really guys, would it have killed you to put some tomatoes in that thing, or had some flavor in the al pastor?), I really wasn't in a burrito-ish mood. The only problem is that it's impossible to find a decent sandwich around Union Square that costs under fifteen dollars. So I gave up on that and headed to Tu Lan, but a posse of bike messengers had taken over the front door area, giving me a guaranteed fifteen-minute wait for takeout. No dice; I was in a hurry. Taqueria Chile Verde

Why any taqueria in San Francisco wouldn’t include burritos on their overhead menu is beyond us, but be assured that Taq. Chile Verde does indeed serve the foil-wrapped blimps-o’-the-gods. More yellow walls inside a taqueria you will never find, and dig those crazy mirrored posts. Top off your meal by stepping out onto the 6th St. sidewalk for a dessert of delicious, fresh-bought crack, any hour of the day. Breakfast available. Open late. FULL REVIEW
