After my night of Bloc Partying and burgers, I decided it was due time for some detoxing. As my healthful mother is a major fan of Greens at Fort Mason, we headed over there for a wholesome brunch. Good thing I made reservations, or else I would have been waiting for a good while. Though, they do have Greens to Go, featuring grab-n-go sandwiches, pastries, and smoothies. Greens Restaurant was established in 1979 at the San Francisco Zen center but is now located in one of the Ft. Mason buildings. They support local growers and purveyors and feature the produce of the Zen center’s (in Marin) Green Gulch farm. FULL REVIEW

I remember when coming to Greens on a weekend without rezzies meant a looonnnng wait staring at redwood burl, but this doesn’t seem to be the rule nowadays. Has this vegetarian thing has played out or there are just more options for the anti “food with a face” crowd? FULL REVIEW
