For the second time this week, we ate at House of Prime Rib. This time it was a dinner with Giao's family. A prime rib dinner, including salad, bread, yorkshire pudding, cornbread, creamed spinach or creamed corn, baked or mashed potato, PLUS seconds comes to about $33. House Salad A tasty salad with a creamy dressing and the odd addition of pickled beets. English Cut Prime with Creamed Spinach and Bacon Bits Tonight the prime rib was incredibly tender. Very, very good.

The House of Prime Rib is a San Francisco cow concession that was crammed with carnivores for supper. It has been about a decade and a half since my last visit to this old school beefateria and not much has changed. They specialize in aged prime rib roasted in a salt crust, wheeled around in customized air stream trailers.

The House of Prime Rib is a great, very stodgy, place for prime rib, and prime rib alone. And, for around $35 per person, you also get seconds. House Salad The strange combination of iceberg lettuce and pickled beets is oddy satisfying. English Cut Prime Rib with Creamed Spinach A very good piece of meat and the creamed spinach, while horrible for you, is very tasty.

House of Prime Rib is famous for one thing: prime rib. I have never been disappointed with the food, the atmosphere, or the service. I ordered my prime rib medium-rare, which, in my opinion, is the only way to eat prime rib.

Arguably the best place for prime rib in San Francisco, we were shocked that we hadn't been here since the inception of SeeUsEat. It was very good tonight. Although they sat us about 1/2 hour after our reservation at a too-small table, they did honor our request to move to a roomier spot. For a dinner including salad, bread, English pudding, cornbread, potatos, creamed spinach, creamed corn and prime rib, plus seconds, the cost is about $33 per person (not including drinks, tax or tip).
