The mall isn't usually on the top of my preferred dining destinations list, nor am I a fan of chain restaurants, but the meal I recently had at ~LARKCREEKSTEAK~ definitely made me reconsider my "rules" (and I really don't have many dining rules, except no fast food, which is soundly broken about once a year when I hit the drive-through, guiltily ordering up an Egg McMuffin and hash browns—blame it on the hangover).

We tried to go to B Restaurant, a new place near our house, but sadly, they had closed up early for the night because they had no customers. They have a terrible location with no foot traffic, so it wasn't all that surprising, but sad nonetheless. It was 9:15 at that point and since San Fransisco is an early to bed sort of city, our eating options were limited. We decided to try Lark Creek Steak, the steak house in the (finally finished) San Francisco Westfield Center, which has been under construction for at least 5 years. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the steak, especially because this chi-chi restaurant is in a mall.
