As loyal readers know, I have a bit of an ice cream problem. It is, hands down, my favorite food, my greatest weakness and my guiltiest pleasure. I eat it very rarely as a result, in part out of deference to my arteries and in part to preserve the sense of joy I get when I do get to indulge in it. Its no surprise to SF locals that Mitchell's Ice Cream has been scooping some of the best ice cream in the bay area. For all the years Ive lived here, its hard to believe its taken me this long to visit. I guess I was always scared of the parking situation in the Mission District. We arrived late and found parking about a block away. I guess the trick is to park behind Mitchell's Ice Cream, have your friend run in and order the ice cream while you wait in the car or park illegally. FULL REVIEW

Mitchell's Pumpkin Ice Cream

Okay, so you might be noticing a theme. A couple weeks ago I wrote about pumpkin pie, and now I am talking about pumpkin ice cream! I have been locked in my house for a couple days straight working, and the dear boy brought me a half-gallon of pumpkin ice cream decadence from Mitchell's last night. It is my favorite ice cream this time of year (to soon be replaced by December's peppermint and the winter season's ginger). If you are in San Franicsco, run to Mitchell's, brave the lines, and try out this pumpkin deliciousness! FULL REVIEW
