ou can’t help but fall in love with San Francisco on a day like today. While my East Coast friends are shoveling snow, I’m wondering whether the back of my neck is getting pink from the sun. So it was the perfect day for lunch at the Ferry Building. Or as I like to call it, “church”. I’m lucky enough to work just a few short blocks from church, so it’s easy to worship on a daily basis. Today, I heard the gospel of Out the Door, Slanted Door’s ingenious take on fast food.

That time finally came, and tonight we feasted on Shaking Beef.

For the past month or so I've been smoothing a path from work on Montgomery Street to the Ferry Building. Considering all the bounties that the Ferry Building has to offer -- including warmer air than the chilly shade of tall buildings -- that's no surprise. But I haven't been taking advantage of the Farmer's Market or visiting my old pals at Cowgirl Creamery. I've been spending all my time at Out the Door, Slanted Door's new takeout counter.
