Hot and Soup Soup $2 This was quite a good deal, but this lunch special was standard in execution. 1/2 Roast Duck $15 Far too expensive when you can get a whole roast duck for $10 down the street at Yee's and it's better at Yee's too. R&G Lounge 631 Kearny St San Francisco, CA 94108 FULL REVIEW

Chinese Food & Cake

The only thing better than leftover Chinese food for breakfast are memories of Chinese food from R&G Lounge the night before. Visions of divine crab, tender and crispy Peking duck, salt and pepper shrimp, delicate pea sprouts, sweet and savory char siu pork and so much more are dancing in my head. Thanks to the maven of all things sweet, David Lebovitz for visiting and giving me an excuse to plan a dinner with food bloggers and to share the best cake around, the Sacripantina from Stella Pastry. Lunch at R&G Lounge

We'd been here for dinner before, but never for lunch. It was packed even with 3 floors after the normal lunch rush. A bit better than your standard greasy Chinese, but for lunch not sure if it is worth the price. FULL REVIEW

R and G Lounge

I knew R&G had a swanky bar, served Cantonese style dishes, and famous for their salt/pepper crab. The decorations upstairs are modern and definitely newer than the accommodations in the basement. We have absolutely NO PULL when it comes to getting good tables and it was apparent when they sat us at the worst possible table in the restaurant. It was in the side room next to the hallway to the bathroom. Real great. FULL REVIEW

every time i go up to SF, i look forward to eating at R & G Lounge for upscale cantonese-style dining. i've never been disappointed by the food at this restaurant -- then again, i've been lucky enough to have always been a guest here so i've never had to pay, therefore, i have no idea how pricey it is. i just know i'm always impressed by both the quality and presentation of the food.
