A delightful tea house (Sanchez at 18th St). A wonderful respite from *bux, etc., found on the recommendation of one of the clerks at Cliff's. Their tea selections are wonderful, (try the lychee black) --- but I have not been impressed with the food. The sweets are pedestrian and overpriced. But having a place to go and just enjoy a nice cuppa' is worth finding a parking place --- if you are lucky enough to be within walking distance, even better!

We'd been to this tea house a few times for tea and it was quite pleasant and served good tea. This time, Alexis went for lunch with an old friend. The food wasn't as good as the tea, unfortunately. FULL REVIEW

We had been to Samovar for tea, but not to eat. Giao tried out the food and was not nearly as impressed with the food as the tea. The space itself is rather beautiful though--3 sides of glass, lots of bamboo, an outdoor patio and pretty teapots. FULL REVIEW

I thought the food was medicore. I did enjoy this seaweed that I was eating it had great seasoning to it and the salmon was delicious too. We ordered the bento box. FULL REVIEW
