Breakfast at XYZ

Giao had a early breakfast meeting, that was held at XYZ, the restaurant at the W. The service was exemplery, with the highlight being when the waiter ran halfway down the street to return a camera that Giao had forgotten. It's a bit pricey, but Giao didn't care as he wasn't paying for it. FULL REVIEW

Sometimes we discuss the possibility of spending a night in the W hotel. It's no more than 2 miles from our house but the allure of their perfectly comfortable beds beckons to us from memories of happy nights we slept at the Ws in Seattle and San Diego. FULL REVIEW

XYZ, the W Hotel

If the Redwood Room is the closest thing to LA/NY scene, The W is a close second. The lobby bar scene is great and the people watching is AWESOME. This is a sexy place. Has a sophisticated, urban feel that draws a great crowd. Everyone from Moscone tradeshow folks to racecar drivers and star-types to strippers just getting off work (The Gold Club is right down the block) to tre' chic and cool locals. Surprise, surprise we can talk a lot more about the bar scene than the restaurant. FULL REVIEW
